October is here and we are jumping into Fall! Today’s wedding is full of charming vintage apparel, and filled to the brim with art! Bride and Groom, Molly & David have an artistically {sweet} love story, as it was art that brought them together. David is a well known artist in the historic and hip NoDa Arts District, and Molly met David at his studio during one of the very popular NoDa gallery crawls. As art is what united them, what better place to hold their wedding reception than surrounded by that brought them together. They celebrated with family and friends at the unique event and gallery space, the Hart Witzen Gallery. Their ceremony was held at Park Road Baptist Church. Molly’s lovely gown is an actual 1940′s vintage wedding gown that a close friend {Linda Hefner} had found at and estate sale, and then had it restored to it’s original beauty. Molly’s daughter Pearl, also wore a lovely vintage dress. As David is a well-known artist in the Queen City {find his artwork here: David French}, the couple decided to give truly unique custom miniature paintings to all their guests as favors for celebrating with them. The miniature painting were of a classic institution, the original Charlotte Dairy Queen,which to Molly & David represented the “sweet life” they want all their guests to enjoy. Another very unique feature that the couple incorporated into their wedding day, was having guests sign their best wishes on a unique piece of art that they created {paintings of a tree, a heart & a home} that they can display as a keepsake of their day in their home. Family and close church friends helped the couple create their art-filled celebration, with food created by close friend: Barbara Franche and DJ’ing by: Detra Bennett.
